The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my Window... it is sunny, beautiful and a little bit chilly.

I am thinking...of too many things to count!

From the learning rooms...i am learning to trust.

I am thankful for...the blessing of family and friends

From the kitchen...i am planning on drying basil and mint today

I am wearing...a long denim skirt and a plaid long-sleeved shirt with my fuzzy pink slippers.  :-)

I am reading...Disciplines of a Beautiful Woman by Anne Ortlund

I am hoping....to lay out my daughters wedding quilt and start putting the squares together

I am creating...a place of quiet for me.

I am hearing...granddaughter working on cleaning her room.

Around the house...is quietness.

One of my favorite things...hearing the sound of boats in Puget Sound blowing their fog horns.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...working on the quilt, drying herbs, reading

This verse has been very meaningful to me of late:
He said, " O Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like You in
heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing
lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their
      heart.   I Kings 8:23

And a picture:
a pile of quilt blocks waiting to be assembled into my daughter's wedding quilt.

  1. Love the quilt squares, it's a log cabin quilt, right?

Thanks for your comment... yes, I'm having too much fun finishing off our shed. I can't wait to start painting the quilt square pattern on the back. :) It IS cool here today, probably not as cool as WA but much cooler than it's been... it feels great. :)
